The world is getting smaller, and in order to grow commercially, businesses need to speak the languages of clients and partners located across the globe. In the United States alone, over 337 languages are spoken, and over 16% of residents speak a first language other than English. California is home to native speakers of over 224 languages. In fact, some 32 percent of the state’s residents speak a first language other than English.

I started Allied in 1980 on the principal that everybody should be able to communicate with others, regardless of which language was their mother tongue. I flourish when I help people converse and unite.
Born in Argentina, I moved to Chile and then Israel, before settling in the United States in 1966. This international upbringing led to my love of language. I speak 5 - English, Spanish, Hebrew, French and Italian.
I have been a State Certified court interpreter since 1981, then acting as the channel for hundreds of defendants needing to be understood. In fact, I interpreted for the defendant currently serving the longest sentence in the history of California (325 consecutive years).
My very first client is still my client today. Many of my interpreters have worked with me for over 30 years. I have built my loyal network of clients, interpreters, reputation, good will, based on my values of respect, expediency and collaboration.Personally, I have 3 beautiful children, 4 wonderful grandchildren and enjoy travel, opera, and hitting the gym with my trainer.
